POEM OF A PROPHET

I wish to remain my own man
My quest for truth lies in God’s hand
Love reigns supreme from the depths of my soul
Through selfless thoughts I can further my goal.
Euphoria lies in one’s patience for acceptance
Resigning personal animosity our faith to enhance
Glowing internally with a pervading light so charismatic
Eluding the doldrums to a Paradise so harmonious and ecstatic
Meditative passages elevating my conscious to perfection
Relieving the Earthly tediousness to a perfect consonance
Awarding the children with a natural and wholesome comparison
To witness their evolution through life’s token circumstance
Heralding their existence with a sympathetic perception
Returning their gratefulness with a positive demeanor
Advancing their accomplishments with a relevance
Ensuing a constructive disposition with conceptions much keener
Illuminating the panorama with a confident exuberance
Contagiously optimistic percussively accentuating an emphasis
to alleviate the paupers from their humility and reliance.
Wandering with the pilgrimage to the Godly metropolis
we approach with anticipation as the gates they do open.
Then we witness the awesome brilliance of our gentle Redeemer
as he tenderly touches our shoulders uttering a profundity and omen
to elate us dedicated travelers as His heart is our inhabitance.
We share our sacred fable as we return to Adam’s Genesis.
Softly we recite our memoirs from the ancient days of Eden.
Hapless days from this fruitless fight
strangely portrayed on this indigo night.
Misery has crudely demised me
I’m so lonely lost in my poesy.
Searching for a common good
with next to nothing being understood.
Dreary moments do torture with plight.
Sentimental nights keep the stars from twilight.
Piercing are the rays of a full moon’s light
Heal our human strife through a phoenix’s breath
Resurrecting with life everlasting, denying death
Drinking mother’s milk is a cuddling suckling at mother’s breast.
As the lamentation has had its discourse the prophet listened in trance
Evoking the assemblage to a higher inclination with a spiritual romance
Moderating the turbulence and expressing a parable as he then blessed
us releasing our torment and anguish with a moment of telepathy.
Elevating sensitivity with an empathetic gesture of sublimity
engendering hope and courage with one motion deeply expressed
to liberate us from perplexities giving of his unyielding solemnity.
