DRIFTING
Lazy little new-born bluebird
Drifting through a cloud unheard
Sort of like the thoughts I’ve had
to wake our weary world.
Now I see our world won’t listen
unless I shine, unless I glisten.
So I put to rest my hopes
of finding heaven’s pearl.
No matter how long I have to wait until it’s right.
I will never stop my wish and never stop the fight
for righteousness.
Maybe all the cynics feel the end is close and near
Therefore if you haven’t lost your dreams
I will sing a pretty song from where we’ve been!
We’re drifting with a cloud in our minds
Can’t you see we’re drifting; we’ve got to leave it all behind.
Can’t you see we’re drifting as another day passes by
We’re drifting with a cloud in our minds.
Unaware of a lurking danger
Harken not to the looming anger
Always gleam your emotions further
Exuding all your warmth to nurture
euphoria to elevate mankind.
Little tiny happy baby
Feels the comfort of his lady
Still when he’s hungry
all his thoughts return unto the womb.
Life can’t seem to bring him pleasure
He’s lost his sense and cannot measure
the distance from his mother’s kiss to resting in his tomb.
No matter how long he struggles patiently to voice
what is on his mind which tempts him from his justful choice
for happiness.
Maybe all these politics bring common men cold fear
resulting in a nostalgic remembrance of the yesteryears.
Therefore if you haven’t lost your dreams
I will sing a pretty song from where we’ve been!
We’re drifting with a cloud in our minds
Can’t you see we’re drifting; we’ve got to leave it all behind.
Can’t you see we’re drifting as another day passes by?
We’re drifting with a cloud in our minds.
Within this new-found reality we once realize
the necessity for yearning to idealize
our reverie of staying comfortably intertwined.
Remaining common in our hopes and enterprise
to internally covet peace resolved and redeemed.
As the caress from the heavens supreme
brings to our eye a precious tear.
