BONIFACIOUS THE ICY SAINT
Bonifacious was a bishop, a sacredly blessed beneficiary,
who was rigorously trained by the Romans as a mercenary.
He was sent to Turkey to round up newly-fangled Christians
who conjured up theorems of forgiveness as their mission.
He discovered them with starry eyes obviously losing their sanity
criticizing the selfishly hoarding men who were confused by vanity.
Bonifacious received wayward criminals for his crooked infantry
with their saw-offed swords to exhibit their hideous frigidity.
Transporting with donkeys their innocent forlorn captives
strapped to the saddles simply to forcibly keep them inactive.
Awaiting their fate they would glance upward to the firmament
holding on to the image of Jesus as life became so turbulent.
In the aftermath Bonafacious returned unto his inner thoughts
and lost motivation and his emotions became quite fraught.
During a conversation with a selfless person who became a martyr
he dreamt of the saviour and received his baptism by water.
He received the Holy Spirit and felt the warmth of Jesus
and buried his Excalibur and surrendered to the treatise
of holy reconciliation and deserted the Roman cause
picturing in the hands of his victims the inevitable weeping-cross.
Transfigured into a sympathetic heartfelt humanist disillusioned
with his predecessors he inherited and swore to join the revolution.
Sneering authority and embracing the principles of the Nicene
he reiterated their creed to the anger of the devilish and the clandestine.
He was observed as he preached his sermons of community and brotherhood
irritating the masters of war who wished to abuse their power with falsehood.
Manipulating the masses with their theater of misuse and methodology
they cynically reviled and persecuted others with a differing ideology.
The thoughtlessness of Bonifacious was disastrously irreparable
as his unfaithfulness as a servant left him helplessly lost and vulnerable.
Like Jesus was arrested on Holy Thursday because of the evil kiss of Judas
he stood blinded from his newly-found bliss. The incongruous nuisance
were the insinuations of his retroversion ending his cherished freedom.
An announcement was forthcoming from the immediate imperium.
The issue became shameful, for his services forcing a forsaken grace
brought Bonifacious into danger. A despicable leader coveted his wish to debase
him with the thieving of his life and the condemnation of his new faith.
He nonetheless was filled with happiness to become the next holy wraith.
As we celebrate this day on the calendar of saints in the middle of May
we needn’t be filled with remorse as his courage he did gladly display.
